  1. The SanDisk Extreme is currently on a big-time sale for the next few hours! The 2TB version is $299:

  2. The samsung has a longer cord, doesn't get hot, and is a s good as the wd, but cheaper. No matter which drive you get make sure to buy two, cause they can go bad,,,then you're screwed….Avoid Seagates..they are poorly made.

  3. I’ve got and issue trying to use the USB A converter as charger-converter for my iPad Pro with use USB c cable and didn’t work, I’m just wondering if that happened because it’s just data transfer and won’t transfer energy.

I’ll appreciate if someone helps me.

  4. Samsung T5. I have a 500gig and a a 2T drives. They are stellar performers and I’ve had no problems whatsoever.

  5. The WD drive will do a better job of dissipating the heat that is generated when these drives are used. The Samsung I have heats up to temperature that always alarmed me. The WD gets warm but the case does a good job of acting as a radiator. The SanDisk case actually acts as an insulator, so it seems to be a trade off between heat and ‘durability’.

  6. Got two T5’s (just preferred the look actually): one 1Tb for my car and one 2Tb for photo editing on the go. Raw files today too large for cloud space and like iCloud can’t do selective syncing on my secondary unit (a pc) so it fills up the main drive causing problems. Drives like these are just as fast.

  7. I have them both and have just tested speeds both using Black Magic speed test and by moving a 10GB file from and to the devices… The speeds of these devices are quite similar. Maybe the T5 is a a little faster in my tests.

  8. "in 2019, this list helped me decide for the best external hard drive hope it helps you out too!"

  9. I just started comparing these today and found your video. Can either of these be used with both an iPhone and a Windows 8 laptop? For the iPhone, is there a cable I'd need to get? And do all of these have automatic backups, once I specify the photo and video directories I want backed up? Is the software easy to use?

  10. I own and happily use the Samsung T5. It's been a great drive when recording to it with my BMPCC4K camera. I don't why you compare how lightweight they are to each other because they are all pretty small in general. You say the WD and SanDisk are your favorites because of how light they are. Weight doesn't even cross my mind when using my Samsung T5 because its already small and extremely lightweight. I don't see any situation where the difference in weight between these three drives would even matter. It's their performance that matters most. And my Samsung T5 – which is smaller than the other two – performs beautifully when shooting at all different compression settings.

  11. Samsung SSD T5 2TB, brand new, on my MacBook Pro high sierra, does not eject cleanly. Finder keeps saying it is use. 1hr with their chat support useless. Bad support. I am considering going back to wd elements. This is my first SSD.

  13. I have one question, I have a 64usb 3.1 Samsung flash drive lol, but when I formatted after finishing my university, this drive forgot that he was 64gb and now he thinks its a 32gb flash drive lol, the thing is I don't know how to fix it,,, I am searching for help in all channels and nobody knows how to fix it, in the outer skin says 64gbs anyways lol but internal says 32 after I formated
